Cardio/Strength Training Orientation

This one-hour class is designed to instruct members on how to utilize the Cardio/Strength Training Zone equipment. Certified staff will instruct proper techniques for using equipment as well as muscle groups being utilized. Training goals, safety, and exercise tips will also be available. Minimum age requirement for 2nd floor equipment (excluding track) is 14 years of age without parent. 12-13 year olds must take orientation class and have parent supervision. Pre-registration is required.

ROC 7K Trail Run - 107300

ROC 7K Trail Run

Start your New Year with Rhett's Outdoor Challenge and enjoy a morning on Rhett's Run. The ROC 7k Trail Run takes racers through the scenic twists and turns along this hilly, well maintained, single track course. All participants will receive a finisher item and post race snack once they've completed their run. This event will include chip timing, age group rewards, and volunteer support and aid stations on the course.

Advance registration required. Location: Meet at Antimi Shelter at Cosmo Park
Shirt sizes are guaranteed for those registered prior to 1/12/18.

Postpone date in case of weather is 2/3/18.

Weather Policy: In the case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed as long as possible for the weather to pass. If the event is not possible, the event will be cancelled and participants will be allowed to pick up their finisher items at the Gentry Building at 1. S. 7th Street in downtown Columbia the Monday following the event. No refunds will be issued if the event is cancelled due to inclement weather.

Bring Your Own Big Wheel - Riders can bring their fanciest Big Wheel or Tricycle and cruise the ARC Track. Prizes and awards will be given to all riders and mileage recorded. Don't forget your costume and camera! Big Wheels and tricycles must be clean and approved by event staff. Believe it or not, some riders have ridden as much as 5 miles. Absolutely no bicycles.

Bear Creek Half Marathon Couch to Creek

The Bear Creek Half Marathon Couch to Creek Training Group is a 20-week beginners' training group that will take new runners from their "couch" to "creek" (Bear Creek Run Half Marathon) with twice weekly group sessions on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings, starting June 8. Trainers will lead the group on training runs and provide cross training and nutritional information as you prepare to conquer 13.1 miles. Class fee includes registration to the Bear Creek Run Hal Marathon on October 19 ($55) and training group performance fabric shirt. Maximum 15 participants.

Optional $10 training shirt available.

Splat! Jr Obstacle Course Mud Run - 107900

Splat! Jr Obstacle Course Mud Run

The 6th annual Splat Jr. Obstacle Course brings a new and improved course and obstacles in 2019! The Splat challenge is for kids ages 4-15 years old. Depending on age, participants will complete a 1K (4-5 year olds), 2K (6-8 year olds) or 3K (8-15 year olds) course with age appropriate obstacles including walls, pipes, tires and, of course lots of mud!

Splat is a great event for individual kids, siblings or groups (sports teams, birthday parties or any group wanting to take part in a unique and memorable event).

Registration includes a t-shirt, Splat finisher medal and Splat bag.

Each wave has a 150 participant cap, so register early!

Bear Creek Run Half Marathon - 307300

Bear Creek Run Half Marathon

The Bear Creek Run Half Marathon has quickly become a favorite race in Mid-Missouri. Runners and walkers have come to love the scenic course along the Bear Creek Trail as well as the encouraging volunteers, great race shirts, finisher medals and awards by local artists. The 13.1 mile course starts and finishes at Albert-Oakland Park and takes participants to Columbia's Cosmo Park on 80 percent gravel trail. "Inspiration Hill" will keep runners motivated as they approach the half-way point. There are aid stations (water stops) every mile to mile-and-a-half along the well-marked course. Registration includes professional chip timing, unique age group awards, finisher medal, performance fabric shirt and post-race food. Maximum 300 racers. Advance registration is required.
Participants who registered prior to September 14 will receive a t-shirt in their requested size. Participants who registered after September 14 will receive a t-shirt based on size availability.
