Should disaster strike in Columbia and Boone County, there will be many who wish to volunteer and many opportunities for volunteers to assist in the response.
The best way to prepare to help following a disaster is to be trained and affiliate with a group associated with an agency. The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), CERT with the Columbia Fire Department and the Columbia Police Volunteers are all examples of other ways you can volunteer now to help following a future emergency.
