Water Quality Report
Columbia’s water is tested more frequently and more thoroughly than is required by law. The well water is monitored for any possibility of contamination and over 4,000 tests are run each year on samples at the Water Treatment Plant and from more than 30 locations throughout Columbia. Columbia’s drinking water meets or exceeds all quality standards set by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (see letter for more information).
For detailed information, please see the 2018 Water Quality Report and the Source Water Protection Plan. You can also view the City of Columbia 2018 Water Quality Report on the Department of Natural Resources website.
