Residential Customers

    Beginning service for new customers

    • Submit request online or come to our office at 701 E. Broadway
    • Requests must be received at least ONE day in advance of needing the utilities connected.
    • Deposits and service fees are listed below and can be paid at the time of requesting the service or added to first bill.

    Deposits and Fees

    • $75 Electric
    • $25 Water
    • $45 Sewer
    • $20 Solid Waste Collection
    • $6 Service fee to set up a new account 
    • $15 fee for SAME day connection

    Customers who have been shut-off for non payment twice in the last twelve (12) months will be billed for an additional deposit fee.

    Transferring service from one account to another

    • Submit request online, contact a Customer Service Representative at (573) 874-7380 or come to our office at 701 E. Broadway
    • Customers should contact UCS at least ONE day in advance of needing the utilities transferred
    • The deposits paid on the old account will be transferred over to the new account
    • There is a $5 Transfer Fee which can be billed on the new account or paid in person
    • A $15 Same Day Service Charge can be paid to get the new account’s utilities turned on the same day as the request is made. However, the disconnecting of the old account will be done on the next business day.

    Disconnecting Residential Accounts

    • Submit request online, contact a Customer Service Representative at (573) 874-7380 or come to our office at 701 E. Broadway
    • Customers will need to supply a forwarding address.
    • Customers should contact us at least ONE day in advance of needing the utilities disconnected.
    • Deposits will be applied to the final bill. Any amount left over will be sent to the customer.
