The coronavirus pandemic has changed a lot for all of us and it’s requiring us to be more flexible and do things differently. That includes the City of Columbia’s 2020 Strategic Plan.
To allow the City Council and City staff to focus on the immediate issues at hand related to the pandemic, the adoption of the 2020 Strategic Plan has been delayed. There might also be changes to the Plan that better fits the current climate.
Currently, the tentative timeline is to bring the Plan back to City Council in October. In the meantime, City staff members will reevaluate the outcome objectives to see what changes might need to be considered in the current climate.
