Sept. 24, 2019:  BP Paterson, the contractor for the Lynn-Oak-Sexton sidewalk capital improvement project, plans to close Oak Street between Sexton Road and Lynn Street to through traffic beginning Wednesday, Sept. 25. Residents have been notified and will be able to access their driveways from Oak Street. This closure is necessary for City of Columbia Water & Light to relocate a water line and for the contractor to complete construction of the sidewalk gaps along the block of Lynn Street, Oak Street and Sexton Road. Please watch for updates on social media or online and adhere to signs posted in the work zone. Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians are urged to use extreme caution in the work zone.
