About Hominy Creek Trail
Hominy Creek Trail begins at the east end of Green Valley Drive and routes to the north of The Links apartment complex at Clark Lane up to Lillian Drive. The trail passes under Highway 63, East Broadway/Route WW, and Interstate 70. Hominy Creek Trail helps connect neighborhoods located in the area north of Interstate 70 and south of Indian Hills Park to the Columbia Trail System.
From Green Valley Drive, Hominy Creek Trail users can travel west to the pedway along Broadway to the connection that routes under Old 63, and take the Old 63 pedway south to the Hinkson Creek Trail at Grindstone Nature Area. Hinkson Creek Trail connects to MKT Trail, which connects Columbia to the cross-state Katy Trail. Trail enthusiasts can now travel from Clark Lane all the way to the Katy Trail!

Trailheads & connectors

This 410-foot concrete trail was requested by the Timberhill neighborhood to connect residents to the Hominy Creek Trail. The neighborhood access to the connector is at the NW curve on Timberhill S. The trail connects to Hominy Creek Trail just east of Highway 63.
Location: Location: This access is located off I-70 Dr. SE where Glenstone Dr. and Huntsdale Rd. meet.
Location: This access south of the trail allows public entry from St. Charles Rd. via Rebel Hill.
Location: This access allows public entry in the 3600 block of Lansing Dr. near Woodridge Dr.
Location: This access does not allow for parking as it is on a private road. Cyclists and pedestrians can access the trail via The Links access road off Clark Lane, just north of I-70.
Trail history
Phase I of the Hominy Creek Trail (1.2 miles from Green Valley Drive to Lansing Avenue) was funded by the Park Sales Tax, and the development project was managed by the Parks and Recreation Department and completed in 2013. Phase II of the trail (1.7 miles from Lansing Avenue to Lillian Drive) was federally funded from the GetAbout Non-Motorized Transportation Pilot Program, and the development project was managed GetAbout Columbia in the Public Works Department and completed in 2016.
