Blue Thunder Track Outdoor Season
First practice: April 6, 2021 (Season: April-July)
Price: $110
Compete in running, jumping and throwing events! Youth ages 6-18 compete in out of town AAU meets along with some local meets. This group is pushed hard in practice. Those wishing to participate in the competitive aspect of the season may want to consider racing spikes but it is not required. Payment may be brought to the Armory, 701 E. Ash.  

Columbia’s Youth Intro Track Meet (tentative, pending approval from the Health Dept)
Saturday, April 24, 2021 – 10 am event starts
Pre-registration is required by April 22 at 6 pm
Hickman High School Track

Learn about Track and Field in this event, open to youth ages 6-12. Available events are: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, 4x100m relay, standing long jump and softball throw. Some events are limited to certain age groups. Registration forms available at Parks and Rec office at #1 South 7th St, the Armory Sports Center, 701 E. Ash and at the link below. Forms may also be printed from the link and mailed to: Columbia Parks and Recreation, PO Box 6015, Columbia MO 65205. Checks should be made out to the City of Columbia. Cost is $7 per child, copy of birth certificate or baptismal record is required.  No walk-up registration.

Blue Thunder Cross Country 
First practice Aug 31, 2021, 6 pm at Stephens Lake Park (lower east side of park in open field)
Price: $55
Attention young runners! Come run and compete with other 6-14-year-olds. Cross country is a sport in which teams and individuals run in a race over natural terrain. Courses may include grass, gravel, hills, and flat land. Practices will be held in City parks and meets are held in various central Missouri towns. Practices and meets occur during fall months and it all ends in November with championship meets. Drop registration form off at Armory Sports Center or bring to first practice.
