Donation Opportunities at Philips Park

Philips bench and shelter planopens PDF file A. Perry Philips Park is a 140-acre park located at the southeastern edge of Columbia.  Development of this park began in 2009 with the installation of a fishing dock and boat ramp on the 40-acre Philips Lake.  Around this lake is a perimeter walking trail 1.44 miles in length with ideal sites for park benches and single-table picnic shelters.  All available bench locations around the lake have been adopted.  As development continues for what will become the second regional park in Columbia, opportunities for adopting structures such as benches and shelters will continue to become available.

Shelter Donation: Adopt the existing single table picnic shelter and have your name, your organization, or the name of a loved one prominently displayed on an 8.5″ x 11″ zinc plaque fastened to the support post. Donors can choose the wording for the plaque.  Donor cost for new construction for this program is currently being reevaluated for 2023.
