Park history
In 1964 Paul and Marjorie Albert donated a 19.7-acre tract to the City of Columbia for parks and recreational purposes. The tract was donated as a memorial to C.M. Albert. As a condition of the donation, the 19.7-acre park parcel was to be named C. M. Albert Memorial Park. This 19.7-acre park resides in the southern portion of Albert-Oakland Park.
