The Financial Assistance Program was created to provide economically disadvantaged individuals access to recreational facilities and programs. The primary focus awarding financial assistance is on youth between the ages of 2 to 17. Adults are encouraged to apply for assistance as well, however, limited funds are available.
Applications are available on-line, at the downtown Parks & Recreation office located at 7th St. and Broadway and at the Activity & Recreation Center (ARC) located at 1701 W. Ash St.
In order to qualify, interested participants need to be a resident of the City of Columbia, complete the application and provide documentation of all forms of income. Eligibility is based on total household size and total household income.
