About the Maplewood Home and Grounds

Built in 1877 and now known as a historical museum, the Maplewood Home and Grounds can be found at Nifong Park. Among the facility amenities are an animal barn, carriage house, pump house, and servants’ quarters. If you would like to hold a special event on the Maplewood Home grounds, a Park Special Use Permit is needed.

Columbia Parks and Recreation is a proud partner with the Boone County History & Cultural Center in the preservation and operation of the Maplewood Home and grounds as an historical museum. See Boone County History & Culture Center’s website for the history of the Maplewood Home.
