Boone County Historical Society (BCHS)
Located in Nifong Park, the BCHS oversees a large complex that includes the Boone County History & Culture Center, the Montminy Art Gallery, the Wilson-Wulff Library, the Maplewood House, and the Village at Boone Junction.
 

Columbia Audubon Society
Serves six mid-Missouri counties: Audrain, Boone, Cooper, Howard, Monroe, and Randolph. Their mission is “to preserve the natural world and its ecosystems focusing on birds, other wildlife, and the earth’s biological diversity through education, environmental study and habitat restoration and protection.”

Farmers’ Market
The Columbia Farmers’ Market is located off Clinkscales Road between the ARC and West Junior High School. This fresh produce market opens early in April on Saturday mornings, 8 a.m. to noon and continues through the third week in November. In June the market is open on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, 4 to 6 p.m.

Finger Lakes State Park
Finger Lakes State Park located north of Columbia on Hwy 63. Former strip pits for swimming and limited boating. Allows off-road motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles.

Maplewood Barn Theatre
