Columbia’s 72nd Annual Fourth of July celebration
July 4, 2024, Stephens Lake Park
Join us to celebrate Independence Day! The festivities will kick off at 6:30 p.m. with kids activities, food trucks and live music at the Amphitheater. Fireworks will cap off the night, with a display starting at about 9:15 p.m. The show will be set to music simulcast on KBXR 102. 3.

Entertainers for the 2024 event are TBA.
The kids area (along the lake trail between Gordon Shelter and the Old 63 parking lot) will feature crafts, games, inflatables, face painting and roaming entertainers.
Parking / How to get to the event
- Parking will be available at Boone Hospital. Columbia Police will be assisting with traffic control.
- The Old Highway 63 parking lot will be available for ADA accessible and drop-off parking only. The lot will be monitored.
- Go COMO transit buses will provide a complimentary shuttle service from all six City parking garages to Stephens Lake Park. This service will run continuously from 5-11 p.m. to move event-goers from the garages to the celebration.
- East Walnut will be closed to traffic, except for residents.
- For cyclists…additional bike parking will be available onsite.
- All park trails are paved and ADA accessible.
