The City of Columbia is excited to announce the new MyCOMO app to connect you with City information. MyCOMO provides information on topics such as city government, upcoming events, utility services, outage maps and directories, and other City of Columbia information. Users can receive notifications on specific events such as changes in trash collection and upcoming City Council meetings, chat with a customer service representative during business hours and report issues. COMO Trails

Como Trails is your guide to non-motorized transportation and recreational walking or biking in Columbia, Missouri. Go Como Trails is provided by the City of Columbia and offers outdoor enthusiasts and commuters trail-finder functionality to explore the Columbia Trail System. Columbia has plenty to offer trail users of all types and abilities. We invite you to go outside and explore over 50 miles of multi-use trails.
GIS mapping initiatives offer user friendly viewing of highly accurate trail system waypoints. Take Go Como Trails with you to assist with route planning when searching for trail or on-street connections, trailheads, underpasses and much more. The app will also provide locations of trail amenities such as drinking fountains, restrooms or bike repair stations. The fine details are available to make your solo or family trail adventures easier to plan!

The love of trails extends outside Columbia’s borders. In 2013, the State of Missouri was named the “Best Trails State” by American Trails, a national organization working on behalf of the nation’s multi-use trails. Columbia’s trail system, via the 8.9 mile MKT Trail (aka “Columbia’s backyard gem”), connects to the cross-state Katy Trail, the longest developed rail-trail in the nation.

Public Art Guide on Otocast

Columbia’s collection of public art can now be experienced on your mobile device. Use the free mobile app for iPhone or Android to guide you on a tour of over 35 pieces of public art around town. Each stop on the tour includes photos, written and audio descriptions, and geo-location mapping to guide you along the way.

Each artwork in the tour has its own connection to Columbia’s history and is part of the city’s cultural legacy. The works were initiated by a range of businesses, individuals, and organizations, each with a different mission but all sharing the common view that art enriches the city.

Powered by Otocast, LLC, the app is currently available for download in the iTunes store and on Google Play. Otocast is a platform for guided audio tours that encourages exploration and discovery, and helps people gain a better appreciation for what is around them. It can accommodate multiple themes and multiple tours, making it easy for visitors to find and select a guide appropriate to their interest, whether it is exploring public art, historic sites, general areas, architecture, or nature trails.
