When school is out for the summer, free healthy lunches are in!
Community partnerships allow children, 18 years of age and younger, to find a free, nutritious lunch and an educational program on weekdays this summer at various locations throughout Columbia.
Lunch in the Park at Douglass Park – Public Health and Human Services Department
Monday – Friday
June 4 to Aug. 3, 2018 (except July 4)
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Douglass Park Main Shelter, 4000 N Providence Rd.
We are providing free, nutritional lunches to children 18 years of age or younger through our Lunch in the Park Program at Douglass Park (also indicated in red on the map). The USDA-funded program, an extension of the school free and reduced lunch program, provides complete, wholesome meals, prepared by Columbia Public Schools. The meals are served by volunteers coordinated by Voluntary Action Center.

For Large Groups Planning to Attend Lunch in the Park: If you are planning to bring a large group to Lunch in the Park, please call the day before to (573) 874-7384, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., so we can make sure we have enough meals prepared for your group when you arrive the next day.

The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri is providing free, nutritional lunches to children 18 years of age or younger through its Summer Feeding Program. The lunches will be available at the following locations in Columbia (also indicated in blue on the map):
- Bear Creek Park, 1420 Elleta Blvd.
- Derby Ridge Elementary, 4000 Derby Ridge Dr.
- Indian Hills Park, 5009 Aztec Blvd.
- McKee Street Park, 1900 McKee St.
- Valleyview Park, 2210 Garden Dr.
- West Middle School, 401 Clinkscales Rd.
