Fire Chief Andy Woody

Meet the Fire Chief

Whether you are a citizen of our great city, or just visiting, welcome and thank you for your interest in the Columbia Fire Department.

The Columbia Fire Department is a diverse organization of 148 dedicated men and women providing emergency medical, fire, rescue, and prevention services to an area of roughly 68 square miles and a population of over 123,000 residents.  We operate out of nine fire stations spread throughout the city with a goal of serving our citizens and visitors with outstanding customer service.

We have the privilege of serving an outstanding city that not only incorporates residents and businesses, but is also home to the University of Missouri, local colleges, and regional hospitals.  We take pride in our responsibilities and I hope that pride shows through our dedication and desire to excel at what we do.
