Long Range Transportation Planning

The Columbia Area Transportation Study Organization (CATSO), as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Columbia, Missouri, Metro Area, is required to prepare a Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and to update that Plan every five years. The most recent plan, the 2040 LRTP, was approved by the CATSO Coordinating Committee on February 27, 2014.

Current and Past Long Range Transportation Plans

CATSO is currently working on its 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan. 

Please Note: LRTP plans also incorporate public input and priorities developed in other plans such as but not limited to the Sidewalk Master Plan, the Public Transit – Human Services Coordination Plan, Parks & Rec Master Plan, and the Comprehensive Plan.
