Council Chamber Laptop Projection System Guidelines
If you are interested in presenting information at a meeting held in the City Council Chamber, please organize it in a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation and bring it with you on a USB jump drive. Plan to arrive 30 minutes before the start of the meeting. City Channel Event Services staff are available to assist you in the half-hour leading up to the meeting start time, e.g. any time between 6:30 p.m. and 6:55 p.m. for a 7 p.m. meeting. We will try to accommodate any scheduling requirement if we can. Our presentation laptop is located at the speaker’s podium.
Questions? Email email@example.com or call (573) 441-5523.
SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING LAYOUT DESIGN: Please be aware that live broadcast meetings have a sign language interpreter in the lower right that takes up about an eighth of the screen. When designing a presentation, do not put valuable information in the lower-right corner.
Special Accommodations & Interpreter Service
Members of the public may attend any open meeting. For requests for accommodations related to disability, please call 573-874-7214. In order to make appropriate accommodations, please make your request at least 72 hours before the posted meeting date.
City Council, Boards and Commissions
The City of Columbia now has a meetings database that can be searched and filtered in order to help you find links to upcoming meeting agendas, past meetings’ media files and minutes, and more. It is generally considered a calendar, but it’s much more than that. Check it out by selecting this link to our Granicus Legistar Calendar. It allows you to sift by date ranges—you can choose next week’s meetings, this week’s meetings, all meetings since 2015, etc.—and by meeting body. For archived meetings going back to 2009, select this link to our live and archived meeting page.
