Broadcasting on Mediacom 80, Charter Communications 992, and CenturyLink 96, City Channel is the award-winning government access station for Columbia, Missouri. It provides citizens information about government activities and services.
The City Channel is a division of the City’s Community Relations Department. Programming for the City Channel supports citywide communication efforts made by the City Manager’s Office and all city departments. The City Channel produces approximately 30 hours of original programming each month, including serial productions, informational news items, live meetings and special events.
City Channel broadcasts live City Council, Planning and Zoning, and Board of Adjustment meetings. City Council meetings re-air Wednesdays at 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Planning and Zoning Commission meetings re-air Tuesdays at 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Previous City Council meetings, going as far back as April 6, 2009, can also be watched online in the City Council Archives.
