2019 Celebration: The Power of Diversity

The Columbia Values Diversity Celebration brings people together from throughout our community to share breakfast and a special program honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Join us at the 2019 Columbia Values Diversity Celebration on January 17, 2019, 7-9am at the Holiday Inn Expo Center. Registration and sponsorships for the breakfast event will open in November.

Nominations for 2019 Columbia Values Diversity Awards

The Columbia Values Diversity Awards recognize those in our community who have had significant impact in promoting appreciation for diversity and cultural understanding and whose work in our racial equality, understanding, peacemaking, and solving problems through non-violence.

We are now accepting nominations for the individual/family award and the organization/group award. Nominations are due by November 26, 2018.

2018 Columbia Values Diversity Celebration

The theme for the 2018 Celebration was “Forward in Unity: Embracing Our Beloved Community.” The program included performances representing the rich diversity of our community, live music at the breakfast followed by the presentation of the 21st annual Columbia Values Diversity Awards. The keynote speaker was Kevin Powell, writer, humanitarian, and President of BK Nation.
