The Boone County History & Culture Center is always admission free and includes a museum store, a genealogical library, the Montminy Art Gallery, the Village at Boone Junction and the Maplewood House in historic Nifong Park.

Founded in 1959, the Columbia Art League (CAL) has been showcasing work by local and national artists, both accomplished and rising, for more than half a century.

The Sidney Larson and Greg Hardwick galleries are located in Brown Hall on the main campus of Columbia College.

The George Caleb Bingham Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in the Fine Arts Building, within the Department of Art. As the campus’ only contemporary art space, Bingham Gallery serves the entire MU and Columbia community by bringing high-quality, contemporary art exhibits, events, and visiting artists to our campus.

The Historic Costume Gallery showcases a working collection of garments from the Stephens College Costume Museum and Research Library.

Artist Statement Ceramics The making of functional pots for daily use has intrigued me throughout my career as a studio potter. I often work in a series though most of these pieces are one-of-a-kind.  While function is important, the artistic qualities of the form are of primary interest to me.  Active surfaces and the interplay of contrasting glazes are unique to my pots. The Masonic Museum – weaving together the historical significance of the people who shaped the history and culture of our state and country. Admission is free every day. The Masonic Museum is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 pm. No appointment is necessary for self-guided tours through the museum.

The Museum of Art and Archaeology is the art museum of the University of Missouri-Columbia.

The Sager Reeves Gallery is a contemporary fine arts gallery showcasing painting, glass, sculpture, photography, fiber, and jewelry with exhibits that rotate on a bi-monthly basis.
