Parking enforcement resumed Tuesday, June 16
On Monday, June 15, the City of Columbia City Council approved the reinstatement of charging for parking and the enforcement of parking meter payments beginning Tuesday, June 16.

Parking Rates and Parking Enforcement Hours graphs. Downtown zone is 60 cents per hour; Campus zone is $1 per hour; Garages are 50 Cents per hour; Parking garages are enforced 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. M to F; Parking lots 8 to 6, M to Saturday; Street meters 9 to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday

 


The City of Columbia has nearly 1,700 parking spaces on downtown streets, 2,300 spaces in six garages, and 535 spaces on 10 lots, plus 80 accessible parking spaces.

Most parking spaces on City streets have hourly meters.  Garages and lots have a combination of hourly parking and permits.

The Parking Utility enforces parking ordinances, maintains parking facilities, surface lots and meters, including preventive maintenance, repairs and daily housekeeping, and administers the sale of monthly, quarterly and annual permits for daily parking.
