 CITY COUNCIL MEETING - COLUMBIA, MISSOURI
 NOVEMBER 10, 1997

INTRODUCTORY
    The City Council of the City of Columbia, Missouri met for a special session at 6:00 p.m., on Monday, November 10, 1997, in the Council Chamber of the City of Columbia, Missouri.  The roll was taken with the following results:  Council Members COBLE, JANKU, CROCKETT, CAMPBELL, KRUSE, and HINDMAN were present.  Member COFFMAN was absent.  The City Manager, City Counselor, and City Clerk were also present.

NEW BUSINESS
R183-97     Declaring results of the November 4, 1997 election.
    The resolution was read by the Clerk.
    Comments were called for with none received.
    The vote on R183-97 was recorded as follows:  VOTING YES:  COBLE, JANKU, CROCKETT, CAMPBELL, KRUSE, HINDMAN.  VOTING NO:  NO ONE.  ABSENT:  COFFMAN.  Resolution declared adopted, reading as follows:

    Mr. Beck expressed his appreciation of the support shown by the voters.  He said it was very important to continue the wastewater program in an orderly manner.  He explained that staff would begin developing an implementation plan to bring to the Council in the near future that would establish priorities for the projects indicated on the ballot issue.
    On behalf of the Council, Mayor Hindman thanked the Bond Issue Committee and said they had done an excellent job.  He also reiterated appreciation to the voters.
    Mr. Campbell pointed out that the Mayor and City Manager had done a lot of work also.
    There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
