Snow began falling around 7:30 am this morning. A full crew was in at 7:00 am and were pre-treating the 1st and 2nd priority roadways.
Our forecasters are advising that we should expect snow to continue through early afternoon and then expect some light drizzle and freezing drizzle early this evening with falling temperatures causing wet and slushy surfaces to freeze.
Bridges and other elevated surfaces, as usual, will tend to become snow covered and slick first. Secondary and less travelled roads will also be prone to slickness early in the event.
Motorist are urged to use caution on roads throughout the day and this evening. Pedestrians should also use caution on sidewalks. Property owners are encouraged to treat or shovel sidewalks as snow and ice accumulate on them.
