Snow and ice management plans for Monday
(COLUMBIA, MO) - Having consulted closely with our weather forecasters, the current thinking is precipitation (snow) will begin after the morning commute on Monday. Our current plan is to have the early morning crew member who reports at 2:30 am to evaluate and monitor road conditions. If snowfall begins before 7 am, additional crews will be called in. Otherwise, crews who report at 7:00 am will begin pre-treatment and monitoring roadways.
We are in contact with and receive updates from our weather service forecasters and will adjust our current plan as needed.
We encourage our customers to monitor the latest forecasts and road conditions and follow our updates on Facebook and Twitter. Drivers should plan for extra drive time during the day on Monday. Those with New Years Eve travel plans should also closely monitor conditions throughout the day on Monday.
