Columbia Public Works announces that sidewalk work as part of the Eastside Sidewalk Project -Phase III, will cause some traffic lane restrictions and sidewalk closures the week of September 24.
Monday, September 24 - a sidewalk ramp replacement at Broadway and Williams will restrict the lane width of northbound traffic on Williams and the westbound, right lane of Broadway at Williams will be closed. These restrictions and closures are scheduled to last one day and will begin around 8:30 am.
Monday, September 24 - the sidewalk on the north side of Broadway between College and Short street will be closed while the sidewalk is rebuilt. This work is scheduled to take two days.
Tuesday, September 25 - Parking on Waugh from Paquin to Locust will be prohibited while sidewalk work is completed. The work and parking restrictions will last until Friday, September 28.
All work schedules and completion times are weather dependent. Motorist, pedestrians, and cyclist are urged to slow down in construction areas, find alternate routes, allow extra time for commutes, and watch for workers in and around the roadway.
We appreciate your patience while we work to improve Columbia's infrastructure.
