Columbia Police investigate shots fired with injury in the 3300 block of Clark Lane, July 9

(COLUMBIA, MO) - On Saturday, July 9, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Columbia Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of Clark Lane in reference to a report of shots fired.

Evidence of a shooting was located on scene, but no victim or suspects were present when officers arrived. During the investigation, officers located an adult male victim in the 4500 block of Rice Road.

Officers and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office provided medical care to the victim until EMS arrived. The victim was then taken by EMS to a local hospital in an unknown condition.

No suspect information is available at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Department's Criminal Investigations Division. More information may become available at a later time.
