Columbia Police intervene in shots fired incident in the 100 block of S. Ninth St., Jan. 1

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Columbia Police intervened in an incident on Saturday, Jan. 1, at approximately 12:54 a.m. at Silverball Bar, 122 S. Ninth Street.

Officers were dispatched to a disturbance at Silverball and, as they were arriving on scene, multiple shots were fired. Police located four adult male victims who sustained non-life threatening injuries and who were transported to a local hospital.

It is not believed that shots were fired at officers, and officers did not fire their weapons.

No suspect information is available at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation being handled by the department’s Criminal Investigations Division. More information may become available at a later time.
