(COLUMBIA, MO) - Columbia City Manager John Glascock will deliver the annual budget message for the fiscal year 2022 on Thursday, July 29 at 12 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway. Residents are encouraged to attend and learn more about the proposed budget that will cover the time period of Oct. 1, 2021, through Sept. 30, 2022.
The proposed budget will be introduced at the Aug. 2 Council meeting.
Community members will have the opportunity to make public comments at three City Council meetings before the budget is adopted:
Monday, Aug. 16, at 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m.
The Council City Council will also hold a work session on Thursday, Aug. 19 in the Council Chambers beginning at 9 a.m. The public is invited to attend.
The Council will vote on the proposed budget at the Sept. 20 meeting.
Copies of the proposed budget will be available beginning Thursday, July 29 to view at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, after 1 p.m. in the Finance Department or in the City Clerk's Office. The proposed budget will also be posted on CoMo.gov.
The Council meetings and the budget message will be broadcast live on the City Channel, which can be viewed on Mediacom 80, Charter Spectrum 992 and CenturyLink 96.
