Online interested parties meeting for Fire Station 11 project scheduled for July 12 - 23

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

The City of Columbia Public Works Department is requesting public feedback regarding the  Public Works is holding an online Interested Parties (IP) meeting from Monday, July 12 through Friday, July 23 at CoMo.gov/publicworks/fire-station-11/

The preliminary design for this project in Southwest Columbia at 6909 Scott Boulevard includes a new building of approximately 10,000 square feet consisting of three apparatus bays, training and exercise areas, crew's work, sleeping and living areas, and a police substation area. 

Investment for this project is estimated at $2,500,000 paid from the 2015 ¼-cent Capital Improvement Program (CIP) sales tax.

The online comment period will run from July 12 to July 23.  During this time, citizens may review preliminary plans, contact Public Works staff with questions and comments and complete the IP Comment Form.
