Family Fun Fest series returns for summer 2021

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

Columbia Parks and Recreation is planning the 2021 Family Fun Fest series. The first will be Wednesday, June 16 with the theme, CoMo Bicentennial Birthday Bash. It will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cosmo Park, 1615 Business Loop 70 West, near Steinberg Playground.

Family Fun Fests feature a new theme each month and offer entertainment for the entire family such as music, special performances, art activities, inflatables, hands-on activities and fun for all ages.

Specifically this month’s CoMo Bicentennial Birthday Bash will celebrate the City’s 200th birthday, complete with cake, birthday- and history-themed crafts. Kids will also have the chance to check out a City firetruck and police vehicle.

Entertainment: 

Burford Shelter Stage

5:30 p.m.: Madagascar

6 p.m.: Allie Bruns

Food trucks will include the Patty Wagon, 2 Odd Dawgs hot dog cart, Kona Ice, Fresh Lemonade Co, and RJ’s Italian Ice.

Family Fun Fests are sponsored by Convention and Visitors Bureau, KPLA 101.5 radio, KOMU TV 8, ParentLink, Tigers Community Credit Union and Machens Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat.
