At approximately 3:21 a.m. on Tuesday, May 11, Columbia Police responded to a burglary alarm at First State Bank, 300 Diego Ct.
Upon arrival, officers located an abandoned white pickup truck on the west side of the bank chained to an ATM and discovered that the ATM had been pulled off the concrete base and was lying face down.
There is no further suspect description available at this time. Through further investigation, it was determined no money had been removed from the ATM.
This is an ongoing investigation and is being handled by the Department's Criminal Investigation Division. More information may become available later.
