Columbia Police investigate robbery that occurred at Petro Mart, 500 N. College, May 8

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, Columbia Police responded to a report of a robbery that occurred at Petro Mart, 500 N. College. 

Upon arrival, an employee stated that a male suspect entered the business and demanded money. The employee complied, handing the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. 

Witnesses described the suspect as a Black male with short hair in his late 30s to early 40s, approximately 5`10, with a skinny build wearing a pull-over, black sweatpants and a black gaiter mask. 

The suspect was last seen traveling north toward Fay Street. No injuries were reported at the time of this incident.

This is an ongoing investigation and is being handled by the Department’s Criminal Investigation Division. More information may become available at a later time.
