Columbia Police investigate an assault with injury that occured in the 3400 block of Grindstone Pkwy, May 2


Columbia Police responded to a reported assault with a weapon resulting in an injury that occurred in the 3400 block of Grindstone Pkwy on May 2 at approximately 4:15 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with one adult male victim who had a non-life-threatening injury. The victim reported that he was approached by three Black males while he was inside his parked tractor-trailer in a parking lot. He reported that after one of the Black males knocked on the window, he exited his vehicle, which is when the assault occurred.

The victim was treated by EMS on the scene and then transported to a local emergency room for further medical assessment. 

There were no further injuries reported.

There is no vehicle or description of suspects to provide at this time. 

This is an ongoing investigation. More information may become available at a later time.
