Online interested parties meeting for Rockhill Road Stormwater project

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

The City of Columbia Utilities department is requesting public feedback regarding the Rockhill Road stormwater project. As part of the City's public involvement process for capital projects and because of the impact of the coronavirus outbreak, the Stormwater Utility is holding an online interested parties (IP) meeting from Monday, May 3 through Friday, May 14 at
https://www.como.gov/utilities/rockhill-stormwater/.

The Rockhill Road Stormwater project will include the replacement of failing metal stormwater pipes and brick inlets behind Villa Capri Apartments on East Broadway between Fyfer Place and Capri Drive. The new stormwater system will be shifted slightly from the existing location to reduce conflicts with other utilities.

Construction costs for the project are estimated to be $284,000, with construction scheduled to begin in 2023.

The online comment period will run from May 3 to May 14. During this time, citizens may review preliminary plans, contact Utilities staff with questions and comments and complete the IP Comment Form.

Utilities staff may be contacted via the Stormwater Utility's number at 573.441.5530 or via email at [email protected]. The completed IP comment form may be submitted via email or mailed to the City of Columbia Stormwater Utility Department, P.O. Box 6015, Columbia, MO 65205. Please include "Rockhill Road Stormwater project" in the subject line.
