(COLUMBIA, MO) - The City of Columbia Finance Department has released the City’s first Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2020. This document is intended to deliver the financial results of the City’s operations to those stakeholders of the City that do not necessarily have a background in public finance. This document is derived from the government’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
"Not every person has the opportunity to read and understand the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, but the information it contains is important and needs to be accessible to the public," said Director of Finance Matthew Lue. "The PAFR will aid the public in learning about the City’s finances by providing economic and financial trends and explanations of financial results in ways that our residents can better understand."
This report will be provided on a yearly basis from this point forward and is available for review on the City’s website: https://www.como.gov/finance/wp-content/uploads/sites/21/2021/04/2020-Popular-Annual-Financial-Report.pdf.
A limited amount of hard copies will be available at City Hall upon request.
