(COLUMBIA, MO) - Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) is partnering with Boone Health and MU Health Care to host a COVID-19 vaccination outreach clinic at Indian Hills Park, 5009 Aztec Blvd., on Saturday, April 24. The clinic will be held at the Indian Hills Shelter from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The clinic is being held at the park for neighbors in the area but all are welcome to schedule an appointment. Moderna will be given at this clinic so anyone aged 18 or older is eligible for the vaccine. The vaccine is free and no health insurance is required.
Appointments are encouraged but walk-ins are welcome. Appointments can be made by following this link: CoMo.gov/Health/fgfhysiispkd/?ap=ftyhkuio39ddd%*7_special_event or by visiting CoMo.gov/CovidVaccine and clicking on the "Sign up for the Indian Hills vaccine clinic" button. Those unable to schedule an appointment online are welcomed to call the City Contact Center at 573.874.CITY (2489). Second doses will be administered May 22 at the same location.
These types of outreach clinics are being held to reduce barriers for Boone County residents to be vaccinated. Staff and resources will be provided by PHHS, Boone Health and MU Health Care. Thanks to Columbia Parks and Recreation for the use of the park shelter, Columbia Public Works for lending message boards and Heart of Missouri United Way for outreach assistance.
Local media interested in covering the event can attend from 9:30 to 11 a.m. PHHS Public Information Specialist Sara Humm will be at the clinic for interviews.
