Columbia Parks and Recreation is planning the Second Annual Stephens Lake Park Arboretum Plant Sale this Sunday, April 25. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until plants are all sold. The sale will take place at Stephens Lake Park, 100 Old Hwy. 63, on the lake trail loop walkway.
Parks and Recreation staff will be on site selling native pollinator plants, rare and unusual trees and shrubs, native trees and shrubs, and ornamental trees and shrubs.
All COVID-19 guidelines will be in place during the sale. Plants will be spread across multiple, spaced tables along the loop walkway. There will be one-way traffic allowed, with a payment table at the end of the loop. Staff will monitor visitors and regulate capacity according to current guidelines set by the Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services.
Staff will be available at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to offer free tours of the Arboretum as well.
Proceeds from the plant sale will benefit the Stephens Lake Park Arboretum. For more information, call Parks and Recreation at 573.874.7460.
