Lane and street closures scheduled overnight on West Nifong Boulevard and Peachtree Drive, April 13

Beginning Tuesday, April 13 at 7 p.m. Emery Sapp and Sons, Inc., contractor for the City of Columbia, will be excavating across West Nifong Boulevard at Peachtree Drive to install a 30" storm pipe. This will result in Peachtree Drive being inaccessible from West Nifong Boulevard. Both lanes of traffic on West Nifong Boulevard will be routed onto a temporary rock bypass that will be constructed on the north side of the street. The work is scheduled to be completed by 7 a.m. on Wednesday, April 14, weather permitting.

Traffic control and flaggers will be present to assist motorists through work zones as needed. Motorists, pedestrians and nonmotorized transportation users should use caution in the work zone and find alternate routes if possible.
