Online interested parties meeting for Route B Economic Sewer Extension project scheduled for March 16-March 30

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

The City of Columbia Utilities department is requesting public feedback regarding the Route B Economic Development Sewer Extension project. As part of the City's public involvement process for capital projects and because of the impact of the coronavirus outbreak, the Sewer Utility is holding an online interested parties (IP) meeting from Tuesday, March 16 through Tuesday, March 30 at CoMo.gov/utilities/sewer/route-b-sewer-extension.

The project will include the construction of approximately 2,150 linear feet of gravity sewer main and eight (8) sanitary sewer structures from the Hinkson Creek outfall trunk sewer to serve properties along the eastern side of the Route B industrial corridor, including the property located at 5008 Paris Road.

Investment for this project is estimated at $1,300,000 and will be paid for by Sewer Utility funds.

The online comment period will run from March 16 to March 30. During this time, citizens may review preliminary plans, contact Utilities staff with questions and comments and complete the IP Comment Form.

Utilities staff may be contacted via the Sewer Utility's number at 573.441.5530 or via email at [email protected]. The completed IP comment form may be submitted via email or mailed to the City of Columbia Sewer Utility Department, P.O. Box 6015, Columbia, Missouri 65205.
