Columbia Police investigate serious injury pedestrian crash in the area of Conley Road and the I-70/US 63 Connector, March 1

Date & Time: Monday, March 1, at approximately 9:10 a.m.

Location: The area of Conley Road and I-70/US 63 Connector

Vehicle and Driver Information:

Vehicle 1: 2020 Ford Explorer

Driver 1: Paul M. Catron, 37, Jefferson City, MO, Seat belt -Yes, No Injuries.


Pedestrian Information:

Pedestrian 1: Robert E. Glover, Jr, 22, Columbia, MO, Life-threatening Injuries. 


Incident Details:

Columbia Police responded to a report of a person who had been struck by a vehicle in the area of Conley Road and the I-70/US 63 Connector. During the investigation, officers learned that Vehicle 1 was traveling north on the I-70/US 63 Connector at Conley Road. It was learned that Robert E. Glover, Jr. crossed the roadway going east across the I-70/US 63 Connector into the path of Vehicle 1. Glover was transported by paramedics to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The family has been notified of his injuries.  Drug or alcohol impairment is not considered a factor. 

This is an ongoing investigation. More information may become available at a later time.
