Parks and Recreation closes Stephens Lake and Cosmo-Bethel for ice skating and fishing

Columbia Parks and Recreation has closed Stephens Lake Park and Cosmo-Bethel Park for ice sports, due to unsafe conditions. The new layer of snow has acted as insulation, causing slushiness and decreased ice depth.

Signs have been posted at both lakes, indicating ice skating and ice fishing are no longer open.
