Waste Collection Delayed for Two Tuesday Routes

(COLUMBIA, MO) - Because of extremely cold temperatures and a large number of employees unavailable for work, the City of Columbia Solid Waste Utilities could not collect two residential curbside refuse routes Tuesday. The routes that will not be collected are in the neighborhoods of Thornbrook, Spring Creek, Cherry Hill, Chapel Hill Road, and Southwest Manor.

Solid Waste crews will collect the material for these routes later this week in addition to our regularly scheduled refuse and recycling routes. Customers on these routes should leave their bags on the curb for collection later this week.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

At this time, there is no change to Wednesday, Thursday or Friday collections. If changes do occur, the Solid Waste Utility will notify customers as soon as possible.
