(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Columbia Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 21 Pendleton Street at 5:50pm on Sunday, February 7, 2021.
The first unit arrived less than four minutes later and reported heavy fire and smoke coming from the attic. Fire crews deployed preconnected hose lines and began an aggressive fire attack and search of the home. Crews performed targeted demolition inside the home to gain access to the attic and brought the fire under control in approximately twenty minutes.
All occupants made it out of the home safely, there were no reported injuries. The Red Cross was notified to assist the occupants if needed.
The origin and cause of the fire remains under investigation. Additional details will be released as they become available.
