2021 Columbia Values Diversity Celebration, virtual experience launches Jan. 18

(COLUMBIA, MO) - The 28th annual Columbia Values Diversity Celebration is going virtual in 2021. The online experience will launch on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 18. All content will be free and open to all.

The 2021 theme is "Where We Stand," taken from the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

This online experience will include:

  • Student writings from local 4th-8th graders on diversity and a featured video
  • Video panel of local leaders discussing inclusion
  • A discussion guide to use with your social, professional or educational communities
  • Resources to continue learning and connecting
Visit www.CoMoDiversityCelebration.com starting Jan. 18 to access the Diversity Celebration virtual experience.
