Columbia Police investigate a report of an armed robbery in the 1200 block of Larch Ct., Jan. 12

(COLUMBIA, MO) -

At approximately 2 a.m. on Jan. 12, Columbia Police responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 1200 block of Larch Ct. 

Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male victim who reported that while attempting to make a food delivery at a residence on Larch Court, he was robbed with a weapon. 

The victim reported that he was approximately eight feet away from the intended residence when a black male in his early twenties, wearing dark clothing, ran up behind him and pressed a gun against his head. The suspect then demanded property from the victim.

The victim reportedly gave the food to the suspect and fled south in a vehicle back to his place of employment. 

The victim also reported that the suspect fled the area on foot in an unknown direction of travel. 

This is an ongoing investigation. More information may become available at a later time.
