Vehicle & Driver Information:
Vehicle 1 - 1991 Mitsubishi Montero, sport utility vehicle.
Driver 1 - Patrick A. Giberson, Lentner, Missouri, no seatbelt, no injuries.
Passenger 1 - Unknown female subject, no seatbelt, unknown injuries.
Vehicle 2 - 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan
Passenger 2 - Juvenile female, seatbelt use unknown, minor injuries.
Pedestrian 2 - Shawn M. Taylor, Columbia. Taylor is the owner of vehicle 2 and was standing outside his vehicle, life-threatening injuries.
Incident Details:
Vehicle 1 was traveling south in the driving lane in front of Lowe’s, which is a private parking lot. Vehicle 1 struck a concrete median divider separating a driveway on the south side of Lowe’s and a driveway on the north side of Sam’s Club. Vehicle 1 struck vehicle 2, which was parked in the loading area on the northeast side of Sam’s Club. As a result of the crash, vehicle 2 struck pedestrian 2, who was standing next to his vehicle.
Driver 1 was taken into custody at the scene.
Pedestrian 2 was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
