Columbia Police will host its next policy review session on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 6:00 p.m. in The City Council Chambers, City Hall. Policies under review are listed in the agenda on the City of Columbia Calendar.
Columbia Police Chief Geoff Jones established policy review sessions for the community in February 2019. The intent is to increase public transparency while policies are revised or developed.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CPD has extended the session from in-person only to adding a streaming platform. Community members can attend in-person or view the live streaming session online. Those planning to attend online have the option to email any questions that relate to the policies any time until the end of the business day before the meeting. Any questions, comments or suggestions can be sent to [email protected].
For those attending in person, social distancing and a mask will be required.
The meeting will be streamed and recorded for later review to be uploaded under the Press Conferences & Special Public Meetings section.
