Columbia Police responded to a residence in the 1900 block of Juniper Circle at approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19 for a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they located two adults in the residence with gunshot wounds. The male sustained a non life-threatening gunshot wound and was transported by EMS to a local emergency room for advanced medical care. The female was located when officers were clearing the residence for suspects or other victims. That victim was found with a life-threatening gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The deceased victim was identified as Robyn Lucas, 51, of Columbia. Next of kin has been notified.
During the investigation, officers developed probable cause to arrest the male, identified as Andrew Scott Lucas, 54, of Columbia, for 2nd degree murder after he was treated for his gunshot wound.
He was remanded to the custody of the Boone County Jail.
